Great Turnout for Flying Horse Farms Volunteer Day!

On Friday, November 15th, nearly 30 BOMA Columbus volunteers attended the Fall Clean-up Day at Flying Horse Farms, in Mt. Gilead, Ohio.  Volunteers tackled a variety of tasks including cleaning cabins and the dining hall.  Window cleaning and power washing as well as help with landscaping needs around the grounds.

After a morning of hard work the team at Flying Horse Farms treated everyone to an amazing lunch and tours for anyone interested.

Flying Horse Farms is a medical specialty camp that provides healing, transformative experiences for children with serious illnesses and their families—free of charge. Located in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, camp first opened its gates in 2010 and hosts about 900 children and families each year.

They serve children ages 8 to 17 and their families, from across Ohio and beyond. The children have medical conditions including cancer, heart conditions, rheumatoid arthritis, blood disorders, asthma, gastrointestinal disorders and facial anomalies.

Be sure to join us at our February luncheon where Pete Aubry, Development Manager, Corporate Relations will be speaking about Flying Horse Farms, its mission and, achievements and future goals and plans.  And be watching for news about our Annual Bowling Tournament on February 14th to raise funds for this great facility and children it serves.
