Emergency Preparedness

The Emergency Preparedness Committee Mission Statement:

The BOMA Columbus Emergency Preparedness Committee identifies and disseminates information that will benefit commercial real estate managers with preparedness, building security and related issues.

The BOMA Columbus Emergency Preparedness Committee provides guidance for responding to building operation issues and communicates a constructive, positive image of commercial real estate as a place to do business.  In the event of emergencies, this committee is the membership’s quick response resource group. We provide valuable and up-to-date instructions and contacts for if a building owner and/or manager should ever find their building in a crisis situation. We also provide the connections to resources that are qualified to assist property managers in creating their own ‘preparedness plans’ for their unique and individual commercial sites.  The goal of this committee is to be an invaluable resource where members can receive updated news and information, training, and contacts for questions and/or preparedness planning for the safety of all who occupy these commercial buildings.
