BWC Open Enrollment ends May 25th!
BOMA Columbus is a member of BOMA Ohio. Our membership allows our members access to savings through the following BWC provider. BOMA Ohio has sponsored a BWC program through Frank Gates/Avizent for a number of years. As of January 2012 we are also aligned with Frank Gates to offer MCO services to our members.
The window for enrollment for MCO service’s upend on May 1st and closes May 25th. Attached are a letter of explanation and an enrollment form for your members to use if they are considering changing their current MCO.

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) has announced the open enrollment dates for the 2012 Managed Care Organization (MCO) Open Enrollment period. The MCO Open Enrollment period begins on April 30, 2012 and concludes on May 25, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.
Frank Gates continues to successfully administer the Ohio Building Owners & Managers Association’s group rating program and we are now endorsing Frank Gates Managed Care Services (MCS), their sister company and full service workers’ compensation MCO, to our members for workers’ compensation managed care services.
Frank Gates Managed Care Services is an active member and supporter of the Ohio Building Owners & Managers Association’s mission, programs and direction. By focusing on comprehensive medical case management, early return to work programs and employer/employee education, Frank Gates Managed Care Services is well positioned to assist BOMA members in reducing their workers’ compensation expenses.
Frank Gates MCS services include (but are not limited to):
- Recovery & return-to-work focused medical case management by experienced, registered nursesthat keep the injured employee and the medical providers working towards pre-injury status.
- Customized MCO Employer Kit/Procedure Guide – An easy to read reference guide containing answers to many of the questions you and your employees may have regarding your workers’ compensation program as well as simple steps to follow for reporting claims (1) telephonically, (2) online, by (3) fax or (4) email.
- Personalized Employee Injury Reporting Packets - A comprehensive, employee instructional supporting proper and timely reporting of new injury and/or occupational disease claims. Employee Injury Packets include the First Report of Injury (FROI) form, MCO ID cards which include the employer BWC policy number, pharmacy & prescription assistance, medical provider billing instructions, as well as, instructions your injured worker should follow when an injury occurs.
- Comprehensive claims management reports covering claims and medical costs to identify payments and trends in your claims history, and help you stay on track.
- Dedicated, MCO Account Executives available for worksite consulting and assistance.
There are no additional costs for Frank Gates Managed Care Services. MCO services are paid for by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation via employer premiums. To select Frank Gates MCS as your MCO, please complete the enclosed/attached MCO enrollment form and fax it to 866-918-3764.
